Role Purpose:
We're looking for an experienced Change Lead, M&A People Team to play a pivotal role in the successful integration of acquisitions across our rapidly expanding business. As a leading, private equity-backed insurance broker, growth is at the heart of our strategy. Through a combination of organic expansion and acquisition activity, we're building a market-leading business that combines entrepreneurial spirit with the scale and capability to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.
This role sits within our Organisational Growth & Change function and will lead the people aspects of mergers and acquisitions, ensuring that colleagues, leaders, culture and change are at the centre of every integration journey. The role profile outlines responsibility for supporting inorganic growth, partnering with deal teams, leading consultation activity and driving cultural integration across acquired businesses.
This is far more than a delivery role. We're looking for someone with the credibility to influence senior leaders, challenge constructively and build trust quickly with incoming businesses and their leadership teams.
Responsibilities:
Partner with acquisition and integration teams from deal inception through to business as usual transition.
Assess people risks, organisational impacts and cultural considerations as part of due diligence and integration planning.
Develop practical, scalable transition plans that support successful integration before and after completion.
Lead employee consultation activity, partnering with the People and Legal teams to deliver legally compliant, well-managed processes.
Build strong relationships with newly acquired businesses and leadership teams.
Understand and preserve what makes each business successful while helping embed our values, culture and ways of working.
Monitor engagement, retention and integration health, recommending interventions where required.
Provide insight, challenge and guidance on people-related risks and opportunities.
Report progress, readiness and integration outcomes to senior governance forums.
Skills and Experience:
We're interested in individuals who combine strong change management expertise with exceptional relationship-building capability.
You'll likely have:
Significant experience leading complex organisational change programmes.
Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, integrations or large-scale business transformations.
Strong working knowledge of TUPE, consultation processes and employee relations considerations.
The confidence and credibility to influence senior stakeholders and executive leaders.
Experience designing and delivering engagement and communications strategies.
The ability to balance pace, risk and commercial priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Experience within the Insurance industry is preferred although not essential.
