As our Operations Executive, you will work closely with our internal development team, third-party suppliers and key business stakeholders to ensure our underwriting platforms operate reliably and that issues are resolved efficiently.
You will be predominantly home based with occasional visits to our various offices based around the UK.
Some key objectives & responsibilities will include:
Incident and change management:
Serve as first point of contact for all underwriting platform incidents and change requests, ensuring accurate and complete logging in the ticketing system.
Follow up with stakeholders where tickets lack sufficient information to progress.
Monitor the queue to ensure tickets are advancing, escalating any at risk of breaching agreed timelines.
Triage and Allocation:
Perform initial triage of incoming requests, assessing urgency, impact and complexity to assign the appropriate priority.
Route tickets to the correct internal team or third-party supplier with sufficient context to act.
Maintain accurate records of ticket status, ownership and resolution to provide a reliable audit trail.
Stakeholder and supplier coordination:
Collaborate with the internal development team and third-party suppliers to prioritise and schedule incidents and changes in line with business need and agreed service levels.
Keep stakeholders informed with timely, clear updates throughout the lifecycle of each ticket.
Platform and process
Build a strong working knowledge of underwriting platforms to support effective triage and communication with technical teams.
Identify recurring issues and flag patterns to relevant teams as candidates for permanent resolution.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of incident and change management processes.
Policy administration
Perform basic policy administration tasks within the underwriting platforms, including correcting inaccurate or incomplete policy data where errors have been identified.
Action data correction requests in a controlled and accurate manner, ensuring changes are appropriately authorised, documented and traceable in line with internal governance requirements.
About you
As our Operations Executive, you will need to be highly organised with strong attention to detail, and able to build effective working relationships across technical and non-technical teams.
You'll also be or have:
Experience in an operations, platform support or similar role, ideally within the insurance industry.
Comfortable working with ticketing or incident management systems.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with both internal teams and external suppliers.
Extremely organised with a methodical approach to managing multiple priorities.
Drive and enthusiasm to deliver and make change happen.
