Head of Project Delivery
Head Jensten's Project Delivery: shape a best‑in‑class PMO, empower a high‑performing team, and turn strategy into real value across Ops, IT and business partners.
We usually respond within three days
At Jensten, we’re building something special: a modern, people‑first insurance group with big ambitions and the energy to make them happen. As our business grows, so does the need for brilliant leaders who can turn ideas into real, meaningful change.
We’re looking for a Head of Project Delivery who can bring clarity, structure and momentum to our programmes of work, ensuring we deliver change that genuinely moves the business forward. You’ll work closely with our Group Operations Director & our IT Director, and lead a talented team of project professionals to bring our transformation agenda to life.
Although the role can be based anywhere, it is ideally suited to someone living in the Manchester or Greater Manchester area, as regular travel to our Oldham office is required.
If you’re someone who enjoys making things happen, leading from the front and building strong relationships across a business, this is your opportunity to shape the way Jensten delivers change.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll be accountable for creating a best‑in‑class project delivery function that supports our strategic priorities and delivers real value. You will:
Lead and strengthen our PMO and delivery approach
Maintain a structured, high‑performing PMO function with clear standards, strong governance and consistent project controls.
Ensure portfolio reporting is accurate, insightful and aligned to Group priorities.
Track project and portfolio performance, including budgets, risks, resource utilisation and benefits realisation.
Drive delivery excellence
Oversee the successful delivery of multiple technical and business change projects — from system implementations to process change, office moves and operational improvement initiatives.
Step in where needed to support project managers, unblock issues, and keep delivery on track.
Own Technology & Operations functional reporting, KPIs and progress against our operating plan.
Lead, empower and develop your team
Manage and mentor a team of project professionals
Create a high‑trust, high‑performance environment where people feel supported, motivated and clear on priorities.
Be a visible and trusted partner across the Group
Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels across Broking, Underwriting and Central Services.
Influence decision‑making and help ensure the right outcomes for the business.
Keep change management, communication and engagement at the heart of everything we deliver.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who combines project delivery expertise with great people skills, strong judgement and a calm, solutions‑focused mindset
Skills and experience
A strong background in project management and delivery, ideally within the insurance sector (professional/financial services also considered).
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects across both technical and business change.
Strong understanding of governance, RAID management, budgeting and benefits tracking.
Experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence at all levels.
A personable, collaborative approach and the ability to simplify complexity for others.
You’ll thrive here if you:
Enjoy solving problems, creating structure and bringing clarity to complex situations.
Can flex comfortably between strategic thinking and hands‑on delivery.
Build trust quickly and communicate clearly and confidently.
Are energised by partnering across the business and working with a wide range of people.
Live the Jensten Values — being Bold in your thinking and decision‑making, Skilled in your delivery and leadership, Caring in how you support colleagues and stakeholders, and Curious about new ideas, better ways of working and continuous improvement.

About Us:
Jensten is one of the UK’s leading insurance intermediary groups, known for putting clients and people first. Since launching in 2018, we’ve built a standout business in a crowded marketplace — combining scale, deep technical expertise and entrepreneurial spirit.
Operating through six specialist divisions — Network Broking, Regional Broking, Schemes Broking, Specialist Lines, London Market Broking and Underwriting — we deliver tailored insurance solutions directly to clients and through a network of trusted third‑party broking partners.
Thanks to strong organic growth and a strategic acquisition programme, Jensten is now a Top 10 Independent Broker, placing around £600 million GWP into the market. We employ over 1,000 colleagues across 50 locations across the UK and Ireland and support 93 entrepreneurial franchise holders nationwide.
Our purpose — “Protecting today, empowering tomorrow” — reflects the role we play for our clients, our communities and each other. Our people bring this to life every day through our values: Caring, Curious, Skilled and Bold.
We sit in a unique space between large consolidators and local brokers — big enough to offer capability and influence, yet agile enough to maintain the culture, autonomy and client focus of a truly independent business
