We’re now looking for a highly experienced Senior Healthcare Broker to join the Jensten Group. This is a key Leadership hire within our Healthcare Division and represents an exciting opportunity to shape, mentor, and grow a best in-class team of Healthcare specialists.
Based from our Marlow House office in Central London for three days per week, you will oversee and develop a team of three Brokers, while managing a portfolio of Healthcare clients and driving growth across the Division. You will bring deep technical knowledge of Healthcare risks, strong market relationships, and confidence in placing larger and more complex cases.
We are seeking someone who is passionate about building a market recognised Healthcare proposition and developing people into high performing experts. Ideally, you will also bring a personal book of business that could transition across once out of covenant. Some key responsibilities will include:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three Healthcare Brokers, building a high-performance culture rooted in expertise, service excellence, and collaboration.
Manage and grow a varied portfolio of Healthcare clients, maintaining strong retention and identifying opportunities for development.
Confidently place large and complex healthcare risks, leveraging your established insurer market relationships.
Drive new business activity, including converting warm leads, developing your personal network, and contributing to division-wide growth targets.
Use your technical knowledge to handle renewals, mid-term adjustments, and risk presentations, ensuring accurate assessment of cover, claims history, and exposures.
Build and sustain effective broker–insurer relationships, ensuring competitive terms and long-term partnership opportunities.
Champion high-quality client experience, responding promptly to queries and ensuring all communications are accurately recorded.
Support the strategic development of the Healthcare division, helping establish a well-known, respected brand within the market.
About You
As our Senior Healthcare Broker, you’ll be an exceptional communicator and a natural Leader who thrives on developing others. You’ll bring strong Healthcare market expertise and a track record of managing both people and portfolios. You will also be or have:
Extensive Healthcare Broking experience across both Retail & Wholesale clients
Proven experience managing, coaching, or mentoring Brokers
Strong relationships with key insurers and underwriters in the Healthcare market
Confidence placing large or complex risks and navigating challenging renewals
A personal book of business (ideally), with potential to move once out of covenant
Relevant qualifications (e.g. CII) or working towards (preferred)
Excellent client relationship management and negotiation skills
Strong commercial acumen and a proactive approach to growth
Ability to multitask, prioritise, and maintain exceptional attention to detail
Experience using Acturis (desirable)
