Insurer Broking Accounts Technician

We are looking for an experienced Insurer Broking Accounts Technician to join our dynamic Jensten London Markets team.
This is a key role within our finance function, providing high-quality insurance broking accounting support and ensuring payments, reconciliations and outstanding balances are managed accurately, efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements.
The role offers variety and responsibility across insurer accounting, credit control and reconciliations. You will build strong relationships with internal teams, insurers, clients and other key stakeholders, while taking ownership of your workload and ensuring all transactions and payments are processed within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities
Complete insurer statement reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Proactively manage and chase outstanding debts, with a focus on reducing aged debt.
Post receipts and accurately reconcile client and insurer accounts.
Investigate and resolve accounting and reconciliation queries, liaising with relevant stakeholders where required.
Prepare and issue payment advice documents to insurers.
Complete daily, weekly and month-end reconciliations and balancing activities.
Calculate and reconcile commission due.
Produce and distribute credit control and aged debt reports as required.
Ensure all payments and accounting activities are completed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with insurers, clients, customers and internal stakeholders.
Take ownership of queries and outstanding items, ensuring they are followed through to resolution.
About You
We are looking for someone with previous Insurance Broking Accounts (IBA) experience who is confident working within a fast-paced environment and managing their own workload.
You will ideally have:
Good knowledge and understanding of IBA procedures and processes.
Experience using Acturis and/or other insurance broking accounting systems.
Strong reconciliation and accounting skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Experience in credit control and aged debt management, but not essential.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
A collaborative, proactive and can-do attitude, with a high level of integrity.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
The ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks and manage your workload effectively in a remote environment.
