The role
We’re now looking for a motivated & driven Account Handler based from our Hastings office (with hybrid working options once settled into the role), to join Chris Knott- who are part of the Jensten Group. Working in our Customer Service team (Personal Lines insurance), the main aim of the role is to work with our existing customers, providing excellent customer service and retaining their business, contacting them at the relevant time and making any adjustments to their policies throughout the year as necessary. You’ll also maximise opportunities with existing customers- as well as following up on new business leads & referrals. Some key objectives & responsibilities will include:
Working within the Customer Service team with the aim of retention/ renewals and maximising sales.
Responsible for delivering great customer service and administering insurance policies.
Responsible for hitting and exceeding realistic targets
Strong customer service skills, communicating clearly and building relationships
Working in a fast paced and target driven environment
Ensure that all work is FCA compliant and provide the highest of Customer Service to our potential and existing clients.
About you
As one of our Account Handlers, you’ll be given full training & support and the opportunity to go on and gain relevant qualifications such as Cert CII to become a qualified Insurance professional. There will be a requirement to work every other Saturday- but only half a day from 9am- 12pm, and you have the option of getting the time back during the week- or being paid time & a half. You will also be or have:
Insurance background in Personal Lines (ideally)
Great customer service and communication skills
Proven renewals & sales experience/ able to retain existing customers and generate new business (ideally)
Excellent telephone manner with a natural sales flair
Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop within Insurance
Worked in a similar role previously (telephone or face-2-face experience)
Good attention to detail and can multi-task, updating relevant systems and admin
