The role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Professional Indemnity (PI) Account Director to join the team here at the Jensten Group. You’ll be based at our Central London office, and we offer hybrid working once settled into the role. Reporting to the Head of FINPRO, the main purpose of the role is a combination of managing the FINPRO London team and handling Renewals- whilst generating New Business (NB). A book of clients will be inherited but the main aim is growth and to generate new business. The book of business mainly consists of Construction and Traditional Professions.
As an Account Director, you will lead a team of 6 talented professionals, managing key client relationships, developing new business, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Your expertise in professional indemnity insurance will be vital in guiding both your team and clients through complex insurance requirements. Some key accountabilities will include:
- Lead and mentor a team of brokers and support staff
- Manage a portfolio of professional indemnity clients in construction and legal sectors
- Develop new business opportunities and expand existing client relationships
- Provide expert advice on insurance solutions and risk management
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to deliver effective solutions
- To ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards and external compliance regulations, e.g. FCA
About you
As one of our Account Directors, you’ll be a ‘go-getter’ type of person, being proactive and constantly prospecting for new clients. You’ll be able to build & strengthen relationships easily, doing client visits and staying in regular communication. You’ll have a passion for providing solutions - and a flair for spotting opportunities that will help existing and new clients going forward. You will also be or have:
- Insurance industry background- especially in Professional Indemnity (PI), ideally Construction & Solicitors
- Retail experience (essential), Wholesale experience (nice to have)
- Proven experience as an Account Director (or similar Leadership role) in Insurance brokerage
- Professional connections within London’s insurance market (ideally)
- Passion and flair for new business, coupled with strong history of retaining clients (essential)
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills
- Ability to drive business growth and team development
- Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop themselves and their team
- Acturis system knowledge (ideally)
