Account Executive

At Simpson & Parsons (part of Jensten Group), we’re on the lookout for a talented and motivated individual to join our successful team in the heart of the English Lake District. What you’ll be doing:
You'll will be responsible for developing and expanding an existing portfolio of loyal, long-standing clients across the region. This is a growth-focused role where your passion for sales and client service will shine.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing tailored insurance solutions to retain and grow client accounts.
- Building on existing relationships through regular contact and in-person visits.
- Identifying and converting cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to maximise client value.
- Generating new business through personal prospecting and company-provided leads.
- Demonstrating a clear understanding of your clients’ industries, risks, and insurance needs.
- Ensuring compliance with FCA regulations and company processes.
What we’re looking for:
We’re after someone who is both people-focused and results-driven – someone who genuinely enjoys problem-solving and thrives in a consultative sales environment.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- A solid background in commercial insurance
- A track record in new business development
- An existing client base would be a strong advantage
- First-class communication and relationship-building skills
- A confident, professional telephone manner and the ability to network with ease
- A proactive approach to learning and self-development
- Experience dealing with insurers and clients in a similar role
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience using Acturis (desirable)
