Peter started his 40+ year career within the Insurance industry in 1977 with the Bradford Pennine Insurance Company in Birmingham. He moved into Broking in 1979 and spent 4 years working in the Birmingham area until he moved south to work for a large broking chain before joining D G Carr & Co in High Wycombe in 1992. In 2009 D G Carr & Co merged with J Bennett & Son in 2009 and Peter became Managing Director in 2014.

In January 2018 J Bennett & Son aquired Mathews Comfort and Peter became overall Managing Director saying, "We are delighted to be working alongside a company that shares the same values and principles.
